Function of Committee
The mandate of the committee shall include the following:

(a) Ensure empowerment of women in public life;

(b) Promote gender equality and mainstreaming;

(c) Monitor the implementation and enforcement of the Convention on the Rights of the Child;

(d) Promote policies and legislations for the protection of the family, the elderly, persons with disabilities, widows, orphans and other vulnerable groups;

(e) Promote physical and moral development of the youth through correct policies and provision of necessary sports and recreational facilities; and

(f) Creation of national consciousness and patriotism among the youth.
